In this workshop at C!Print 2025, we analyze the impact of municipal ordinances on signage in the industry in Spain, with a focus on the Outdoor Advertising Ordinance of Madrid, in force since 2009. We reflect on the restrictions for illuminated signs, banners and other advertising elements, explaining how the rules of the game have changed for professionals in the sector. We also highlight the importance of advising clients correctly, knowing the limitations and opportunities offered by each local regulation.
Sergio Carbonell shares the work carried out by the Aserluz association in the translation of complex legal regulations into practical graphic manuals. In addition, strategies to legalize signs, overcome administrative barriers, and turn regulatory challenges into competitive advantages are discussed.
I have been developing projects in the world of
signage and visual communication at the point of sale.
In all aspects: commercial, manufacturing, printing,
marketing... and finally, management in the Xprinta group
There are many things that have helped me learn and grow
in this sector, which I am passionate about. One of them is collaboration.
And that's why we created Signolia: to give back a small part
than what so many professionals in our profession gave us before.
