About the Short

In 1956 , Manolo Prieto, a talented Spanish artist, received a special commission from Osborne: to create an image to promote Veterano brandy. With vision, Prieto gave life to the silhouette of a brave bull, imposing and defiant, looking at the horizon.

In 1957 , the first Osborne Bull it was erected on the outskirts of Cabanillas de la Sierra, Madrid. This initial figure, made of wood and 4 meters high, was the starting point of a journey along the Spanish roads.

The years passed, and the decade of 1980 brought changes. A modification in the highway law threatened the existence of these iconic advertising silhouettes. However, the Osborne Bull he had already earned a place in people's hearts.

In 1994 , an important milestone occurred. The Osborne Bull it was declared cultural and artistic heritage of the peoples of Spain, with preservation measures due to its cultural and aesthetic value.

Today , 91 Osborne bulls remain firmly in the Spanish landscape, and their presence transcends borders. The Osborne Bull he has traveled the world, settling in Mexico, Japan and Denmark, demonstrating how simple design can connect cultures.
